Project 127 is a Capital Campaign aimed at restoring and preserving the Centennial African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, Buffalo. We are reaching out to individuals, businesses, and organizations, seeking their generous donations and sponsorship to support this endeavor.
The goal of the campaign is to address critical issues such as the replacement of our deteriorating roof, as well as other structural repairs, i.e. (sanctuary ceiling damage ) that have been caused by the persistent leaks. By undertaking these repairs, we aim to bring our place of worship up to operating code and create a safe and welcoming environment for the congregation and community. We are located on the Eastside on Buffalo at 127 Doat St. in Buffalo, NY 14211.
We kindly request your support in considering us as we work to preserve and enhance our cherished place of worship. As an integral part of our community, our organization is dedicated to leading and serving the people by fostering capacity building, equity, and diversity. Our heartfelt desire is to provide a safe and secure space within our place of worship, where individuals can find purpose and belonging. Our overarching goal is to create opportunities that address the diverse needs of all members of our community.
As, we thrive to restore our place of worship with Phase One of our "Capital Campaign" your giving will assist us to develop and create a new multi-purpose sanctuary and restore other spaces within the building. This will allow us to offer ‘community resources’ this will include (after-school tutoring for at-risk youth in collaboration with (college student interns being mentors), an enrichment program, trauma & resilience counseling, a health advocacy program and music/dance programs. We will also create programs for our elderly and formerly incarcerated individuals. Our building is over (55,000 sq feet).
With your donates to Project 127 we will be able to complete rehabilitation in our place of worship on the corner of Doat St and Goembel Ave. We need your support and help as we offer our place of worship as a beacon of light and refuge in a very underserved community on the Eastside of Buffalo, NY.
